Large Works of Oil & Cold Wax
Adding Cold Wax to oil paint changes how the paint responds. The paint has more texture/ body, it dries faster leaving a matte surface while at the same time, intensifying the color. Most of my large oil & cold wax works are painted on a rigid surface, often cradled panels. A few of these works may have started out as paper (treated of course to protect the surface from oil paint) and if so, they were adhered to a board before final framing.
WHERE TO FIND MY WORK: Paintings marked “NA” are no longer available (sold or NFS). I’m in the process of updating price and location for my work. I had a computer melt down about a month ago and the back up I had to use didn’t have all the recent data; I’m close to being on top of things again (LOL).
My work can be seen in person at:
- Art@43023, my partner gallery in Granville, OH
- The gift shop at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center
